The story details the simultaneous murderous activities of several different
characters as they each attempt to remove any human obstacles that stand in the way of an inheritance. Easily Bava’s
most intensely violent film, its emphasis on graphically bloody murder set pieces was hugely influential on the slasher genre
that followed in its gory wake. Quite possibly the best release of this landmark giallo and is a required film for any discerning
horror fan. Lots of cool extras as well.

Stylish and extravagant, Cold Eyes Of Fear is an excellent
example of an Italian Giallo thriller. Set in swinging seventies London, this movie brings you a dark and decadent world of
corrupt cops, vengeful ex-cons, threats, betrayal, fist-fights and feisty femme fatales. Motivated by revenge, an ex-con abducts
the son of the judge who put him behind bars. The plot thickens as a deeper betrayal is revealed, leading the story to erotic
S&M scenes with scantily-clad women and violent trysts in darkened, atmospheric nightclub settings.

Luca Di Angelo is a family man and dockside worker who works for a shady underworld smuggler, hauling

when his brother and a number of fellow smugglers are murdered by a rival smuggler from France, known as the Marsigliese,
who is determined to become the drug kingpin of Italy and wipe out all competition. Luca must join forces with rival Naples
smugglers, and the powerful Italian Mafia, as well as the local police to track down the French sadist when he abducts his
wife. Fulci ventures into Godfather territory and the results are suitably tough and splattery.

PRISON

When the decrepit
old Wyoming State Penitentiary is reopened to accommodate an overflow of inmates from other facilities, the vengeful spirit
of a wrongfully executed man (Viggo Mortensen) is awakened; the crooked guard whose testimony sent this man to the chair is
now the crooked warden of the crumbling prison. At first, the waking nightmare of prison life - a dehumanising monotony periodically
broken up by brutality - ensures that only a few of the prison’s occupants notice that anything is wrong. Before long,
however, a series of grisly deaths has both inmates and staff panicked. On the surface, Warden Ethan Sharpe (Lane Smith) remains
in denial, blaming the growing body count on troublesome inmates while his guilty conscience propels him to new heights of
sadism and erratic behavior.

was a great samurai warrior who served his Shogun honorably. The Shogun however grew paranoid as he became more and more senile.
The Shogun sought to destroy all those who might stand to oppose his rule, and so he sent his ninja spies to the samurai's
home. The ninjas failed to kill the samurai, but did kill his wife. From then on, the samurai swore on his honor to seek out
the Shogun and avenge the death of his love. The samurai roams the countryside with his small son taking on mercenary
work for money until the final battle with the Shogun's three Masters of Death. A masterpiece of Splatter Cinema - the best
version available.

over their family name, filmmaker James Garrick (John Nolan) is united with cousin Ann (Ann Garrick) when she stars in his
latest low budget horror flick. At the wrap party, Ann goes into a trance and tries to slice him up with an ancient sword.
Soon, people are turning up dead in the most bizarre ways, and the unseen assailant has a supernatural sway in his favor.
Allowing the red stuff to flow freely, a woman is found pinned to a tree with knives, a blue movie director is crushed
by a film light, a canister of film comes to life and leads to a beheading by a broken window glass, a policeman is repeatedly
run over by a car, etc. Great Brit Horror and very gory.

Sergio Martino's tense giallo is laced with with all the trademarks of the genre putting it up there with the best.
